Per instructions of the Lebanese Authorities, the Belgian Embassy is required to declare in advance to the Lebanese border authorities the surnames, first names and passport numbers of Syrian applicants who must enter Lebanon for their visa application and specify their date of appointment. For this reason, appointments for Syrian applicants who need to enter Lebanon for a visa application must be fixed at least 

48 WORKING hours in advance.

Please note that being on the list communicated by the Embassy does not automatically grant you a passage as it is the decision of the Lebanese authorities to grant (or not) access to their territory. The Embassy cannot intervene in these matters.

The applicants will be contacted by phone 48h before their appointment, please make sure the phone numbers are correct and reachable, otherwise the appointment will be automatically cancelled.

Furthermore, we cannot provide any reliable information about the use of your data. If you do not want us to transmit your data, please cancel your appointment (48 hours in advance).

On 22 May 2024, the Official Journal of the European Union published Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1415 of 14 March 2024 amending Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 as regards the amount of the visa fee, which you will find in the appendix.

This means that starting from 11 June 2024, the visa fee will increase from EUR 80 to EUR 90 for short-stay visas for adults and from EUR 40 to EUR 45 for short-stay visas for children aged 6 to 12 years.

The visa fee amount remains unchanged for countries benefiting from a visa facilitation agreement, staying at EUR 35, except for Cape Verde nationals, for whom the visa fee will increase from EUR 60 to EUR 67.50 for adults and from EUR 30 to EUR 33.75 for children aged 6 to 12 years.

The Syrian biometric passports issued between 20/08/23 and 15/01/24 by the Syrian Arab Republic are not in accordance with the ICAO requirements as there is no signature field. However, they will be recognized if they bear the holder’s signature (when the person is older than 10 years old) approved by a Syrian authority (immigration authorities in Syria or Syrian Embassy/Consulate abroad).

The Syrian biometric passports issued after 15/01/24 are recognized but only if the passport bears the holder’s signature (when the person is older than 10 years old).

You will need to reschedule a new appointment if:

• Non-presentation at the fixed appointment.
• Appointment booking with the wrong visa type
• Making an appointment with an incorrect first and last name.
• Making an appointment with an incorrect passport number.
• Booking an appointment with an account that does not belong to you.
• Duplicated appointment.
