Visa Application Fees

To apply for a visa, you will have to pay a visa fee and a service fee.

The visa fee is collected on behalf of the Consular Authority and the service fee is collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact.

To apply for a visa, you will have to pay:

  • Visa fee - collected for the of the Consular Authority for the application processing;
  • Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact.

Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees do not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. The visa fee and service fee are both non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the Embassy staff or if the applicant decides to terminate his or her application.

The gratuity is granted to:

  • the spouse and children under the age of eighteen of a citizen of the European Union;
  • any other member of the family of a citizen of the European Union or of his or her spouse, who is dependent on or living with him or her;
  • nationals of Morocco, Israel, Turkey, Japan and San Marino;
  • scholarship students from the Belgian State, Belgian administrations in the broad sense (e.g. DGD, Cooperation, Communities and Regions), international bodies (e.g. scholarship students from a European Union programme) and Belgian universities.

The visa fee is mandatory for all visa applications unless you are within the exemption categories.

* The visa fee, only collectable in XOF, may change as a result of currency fluctuation.

The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in XOF. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the Consular Authority and is updated periodically, therefore the amount you are requested to pay may differ from those quoted above.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is EUR 23,94 / XOF 15705,00. This amount has been decided in agreement with the Consular Authority and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.).
